I'm a WEE bit Late in joining in, however.........

I'm going to join the the "one world, one heart" blog giveaway too!!!
My cold turned into the FLU so I thought I was too late to join in. But reading the blog today I see I could still play-woo hoo!! and you can win a CUSTOM spun Scrappy Cat yarn from me!!!!
One World One Heart Blog Giveaway is being hosted by Lisa Oceandreamer of Heart of the Nest and Imagination Cafe.
What is One World One Heart Giveaway you ask??
It is a blog-wide giveaway event - The original idea behind this was to bring bloggers together from around the world who may never ordinarily meet. It closes the gap of the blog community and enables us to interact, discover new and wonderful people, and in the process possibly win a prize or many prizes along the way. Last years event had nearly 100 participants and many connections were made because of it......friendships that are still going strong.

I am offering a custom skein of my Scrappy Cats handspun yarn. My scrappy cats series are yarns made from repurposed commercial yarns and wool from animal rescue farms and are dedicated to the numerous rescue animals that have come thru mine and my friends lives. On my website, 100% net profits from the Scrappy Cats yarn sales goes to A Place to Bark animal Rescue. The winner will tell me what colors they like or tell me about a pet they'd like to commemorate and I'll spun up the yarn. Here are some examples of other yarns in the series.

To win this yarn, all you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post, with a link back to your blog and your email address so that I can contact the winner.

Leave your comment on or before midnight February 13, CALIFORNIA TIME - which is Pacfic Standard Time. I'll use a randomizer program to pick the winner and announce the winner on Valentines Day.

HAVE FUN AND GOOD LUCK! Please also visit my friends who are also participaing Future Momo, Stacy Alexander, Chelise, Patricia Anders as well as all the other bloggers on the One Heart One World blog!!!

This is a great idea! However, I just moved across country and have most of my stuff in storage. What I would like to do, is go into as many of the blogs as I can and sign in. If my name gets pulled by anyone as a winner, I will donate $100 to AIDS Foundation in memory of my brother. If my name gets selected more than once, I will up the ante an additional $10 every time it gets pulled (greedy I know, but one can dream!!!) If my name is not pulled by anyone, I will still make a $50 donation. This way, everyone is a winner.

I hope to get my name drawn at least once.

how lovely that you are so involved with animal rescues. our boy (in my blog i refer to him as walter the farting dog) joined our family last year. we adopted him from a rescue and are so grateful to have him in our family. our two daughters adore him (they are only 2 and 4 years old) and he seems to feel the same about them. how anyone could have hurt him or given him up (thank goodness they did) is beyond me. we've fixed him all up he required extensive dental surgery and lots of tlc to let him know that he is in a home where he will never be hurt....sorry to ramble!!!
On another note, i am a new knitter and i'm loving it. i plan on coming back to visit your blog, i've added it to my blogroll.
