Website work, updating, just another day

My Swashbuckling Hero

I've had a bug about freshening up the site and my business cards. I worked on the card a bit yesterday but need to do more to it. Then I stayed up to about midnight, working on the website I took down all the jewelry series (except for the Wanderlust Map Pendants)and put them in basic catagories - Necklaces, Earrings, Pins, etc.... I think it may be easier for someone who is looking to buy. I may break down each of those into subcatagories, but for now I'm leaving it as is. Zen Cart isn't user friendly when it comes to moving products, you have to do them ONE at a time...and I had about 100 to move..

While I was in there, I added a few rings and the cute recycled vintage Scimitar necklace above. I realized I have a TON Of pics to resize and upload so I guess that is my chore today. I am wonky today, and need to just push myself to work. I want to spin tonight too, so I loaded up a bag and took it up to the couch so its all ready when I get there..

I need to redo my craft show list and prioritize. Figuring out some attractive, interesting necklace display is boogling my mind.......so that is another thing I need to put some thought into today.

I'm also looking at things to do in Cardiff and London , thats a nice diversion from doing the work I need to do! So if any readers live in either place, please send suggestions along!

Where has the week gone???

Man! it WHIZZED by!!! I've been trying to master the camera, and its winning as evidenced in the above photo...I didn't have the lights off, go figure............., I have spent about 9 hours trying to become a better photographer and reading the book on the Canon Rebel-I don't think its sinking in..................

Its been recordbreaking hot here the past 2 days which has made me really unable to focus. It was 97 yesterday, 89 today. I understand those are normal temperatures for alot of people, but not for San Francisco. We are delicate little orchids in SF and used to cool, damp days. No apts have AC and this is the ONLY time you will hear me say "thank god we don't face any sun". Its been so hot in here as it is, I can only imagine how miserable the apts in the front of the building are. I feel bad for the cats, especially Mr. Schmoo who is Himilayan and really unhappy right now. We have fans running and curtains drawn and trying to keep it as cool as possible.

I did finish this lot of necklaces this week. I have more pendants but ran out of chain, must order some this week. I also put them all on the website tonight. Tomorrow I hope to get more pics resized, update the site and get out that darn newsletter I keep putting off!

Wanderlust

A couple of weeks ago, Someone asked me to make them a necklace, so I took the idea and came up with these. Can't say WHO it was, cause its a Holiday gift and we don't want to ruin any suprises!!!!

I'm calling this series Wanderlust. They are etched and patinaed copper with vintage map paper. I haven't put them on the website yet, wanted to post for all to see first! I'm also doing these in silver but haven't gotten my etching supplies for that yet. If you are interested in any of these before I list them, just email me.

I have more resin stuff to doo, but I'm not sure if its gonna rain today or not! Also need to go run errands, but am thinking I will put it off until tomorrow when the forecast doesn't say chance of rain.
